A relatively small casino compared to Perth! Great fun, & the bands are always great in the bar.

Everything was fab apart from just one guy (staff member morning shift) at the reception who was extremely rude and tried to ignore every request (even the basics). Wanted to give a very bad review because of him and even complain about him, but the overall experience was really nice.

My partner and i were both welcomed to the casino by a security guard named Lachlan. He was professional, nice and was answered all of our questions about the food services at the casino. Food and rooms were good and definitely will be visiting again.

The Reef Hotel Casino has a serious problem with the behaviour and professionalism of its staff. Security guards are often aggressive, intimidating and quick to escalate situations rather than calm them — even when patrons pose no threat. Equally disappointing is the attitude of management, who appear to accept this behaviour as normal. Complaints are routinely dismissed, and there’s little sign of proper oversight or accountability for how licensed security staff are trained or supervised. Even on the gaming floor, dealers seem more focused on taking offence than providing professional service — reflecting the same lack of training and culture of entitlement that starts at the top. I'd strongly advice staying away from this establishment.

Flinders Bar and Restaurant. We have visited this restaurant many times over a number of years of holidaying in Cairns. After this year we will never go back again. We stupidly went back three times over the last four weeks, thinking it would improve, but the food is consistently bad. The wagyu beef burger was like a dried up hockey puck. The steak sandwich was so tough, inedible. The Seafood Feast, omg was so terrible. Fried seafood extender, 2 dried up calamari rings, 2 tiny, what I think used to be prawns, the chips I'm sure were cooked the day before and kept warm for the duration. I complained, but I'm sure it fell on deaf ears. The chefs should be ashamed of themselves for serving up such dreadful food.

Was a cool and nice stay, we enjoyed it. Only one thing we don’t liked, was the grumpy and unfriendly reception ladies. Were not friendly or helpful. I don’t know what was wrong with them. Every day we felt not welcome, when we talked with them. On the other hand, the guys made it better and being kind with us at the reception. Thx
