I've had a truly wonderful stay. All the staff are helpful, cheerful and efficient. I'd like to thank Jess in particular at reception who went above and beyond to assist me yesterday. This is my first time visiting Hobart and I can't wait to return with all of my family next time Congratulations on an amazing team 👏

The website says it offers Texas Holdem Poker. I caught an Uber out Saturday night. I asked 4 staff members where the poker was. The answers was that we don't play it here. One answer was " I don't know, I don't gamble." So if you like playing poker on a holiday and you are visiting Hobart don't waste your time travelling out to the casino to play. It was my mistake that it was on your website. I asked AI if it was played there. AI response was from Wed to Sunday from 6pm in the poker pit on 4 tables. My mistake for using AI. However I did travel out to the casino on Friday to check out the casino and was told at the information desk that poker games were held. Also you are correct your website doesn't specifically mention Poker but does say all the favourite casino ganes (words to that effect), This may explain my confusion.

Imagine being made to check in to such a stunning hotel only to be directed to something out of a horror movie... When I arrived, I walked into the main building thinking I’d accidentally wandered into a Bond villain’s holiday home. Beautiful lobby, stunning architecture, classy bar, a full casino, the whole place looked like the kind of hotel where you order a martini and suddenly have a mysterious backstory. Feeling optimistic, I asked the lovely staff member if I could get a water-facing room. They politely informed me that unfortunately my booking was actually at the Motor Lodge across the road. Crossing the road felt like travelling through a wormhole from luxury resort to low-budget crime documentary. The Motor Lodge looked like the Bates Motel’s slightly more depressed cousin. The hallway had that unmistakable damp smell that suggests either a plumbing issue or an unsolved mystery. The room itself had such a strong “something died here in 1997” energy which made me briefly feel sorry for the bed bugs. To be fair, the location is fantastic, the main Wrest Point building is genuinely beautiful, and the staff were great. Just make sure, REALLY make sure, that when you book Wrest Point, you’re actually staying in Wrest Point and not in the atmospheric crime-scene simulator across the road.

Had a very relaxing weekend at Wrest Point, while attending the Mustang Spectacular for 2026. The room was very comfortable and the views breathtaking. The staff were very accommodating in assisting us with all that we needed. A big must is the buffet breakfast with view's over the Derwent river while watching the sun rise. A awesome way to start the day. If you're in Hobart, do yourself a favour and stay at Wrest Point 💯

This hotel is incredibly luxurious. We booked a riverfront room, and I can only say that both the view and the in-room amenities were top-notch. The front desk staff were witty and humorous, handling matters with lightning speed and efficiency. The hotel's room service was also first-rate. Honestly, this hotel deserves a perfect score. If I ever return to Hobart, I would gladly stay here again.

Loved my stay at Wrest Point Hotel. Spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful hill views and a classy, relaxed atmosphere. Everything felt smooth and easy—from check-in to dining. A great spot to unwind in comfort while still being close to the city. Would happily stay again.

One of the most beautiful and pleasant stays! The views are stunning, location is awesome and staff is so kind and friendly! We got a free upgrade which was such a kind gesture. The only thing to note is if a smart Tv with screen mirroring/apps is important to you, please check with them as all rooms don’t have updated TVs and they advised they are in the process to do so- it wasn’t a big deal for us! Lovely experience and would surely recommend and visit again :) Thank you for making our holiday memorable!
