La Pergola is the casino where my wife and I first played, brought by our friends Norbert and Elisabeth, who lived on Rue de la République at the time. For a first try, it was a resounding success. Furious at having lost, I threw my last few coins into a machine. I won enough to buy my wife a superb pair of handmade red espadrilles, which she had been wanting, and I treated everyone to the restaurant "La Banquise," if I'm not mistaken, where the four of us shared a delicious and generous seafood platter. Having your card moved without your consent is a guaranteed path to bankruptcy, approved by the police. Don't let anyone touch your gaming card; it's unacceptable. I feel like I was ripped off. It was a very unpleasant experience because I subsequently lost all my winnings.

Good location with a really beautiful view. Staff don't seem to like foreigners however, they were INCREDIBLY condescending and mostly ignored you if you weren't French. Giving 1 star since we ordered food and drinks and waited for more than 2 hours. When we asked about them they were very rude and the food arrived cold. No one ate more than half their order (we were 8) and it was not busy at all.
