A small meal at the casino restaurant for a friend's birthday, a couple's dinner—something relaxed but with a bit of fun. We ordered the set menus with tickets for the gaming room. Then, upon entering the casino, we were refused entry! There were six of us, and we'd had two aperitifs, which was apparently too much for the gentleman at the entrance. Our friend had red eyes and a gait that he didn't like. Even several people in the restaurant, including the waiter who was looking after our table, were astonished. I'll remain polite, though I certainly didn't mince words! We were, of course, disappointed with this establishment. Despite a pleasant meal at the restaurant, we ended on a sour note and won't be returning.

The view from the terrace was lovely, but we had a bad experience: when it came time to pay (in cash), we were given a price verbally that seemed a bit high. After insisting with the waiter to get the bill, we realized he had inflated the price… to get a bigger tip on the side?! Scam or mistake, how can we tell?

I was just turned away because I'm wearing jeans with a small hole in the thigh, while women are allowed in wearing very short clothes. Disappointing.

A very nice view. Fresh food, buffet, sea food. Friendly staff. A must go when in La Rochelle. You need to book in advance especially for the terrasse.

The food is wonderful. The best seafood I have had in France, for sure. And the buffet menu is excellent value. Came 2 evenings in a row. The cocktails are professionally made, with no skimping in the alcohol content. Right by the waterside, with nice indoor and outdoor spaces for dining.

Celebrated my 80th birthday here recently. Had 50 people on the terrace.Sit down meal for all beautifully served. Very hot day. Champagne kept us cool. Cost very reasonable.
