The Crown Towers Sydney is a beautiful hotel, great service, and we received a lovely surprise upgrade on arrival. We chose to stay here to celebrate a significant birthday for my husband, so it was meant to be a special experience. Unfortunately, we booked a Deluxe King Room (Level 23) with harbour views, and one of the windows (which was 2/3s of the view) was completely hazy, it looked like there was dust trapped inside the double glazing. It made the view almost impossible to enjoy and we were very disappointed with the room. It really impacted our stay and, given the premium price and importance of the view, left a bit of a bad taste.

Terrible experience from start to finish. I checked in online beforehand, but still had to line up for 15 minutes to check in again, then waited another 30 minutes just to get a room key. The first room was interconnected with one that had a crying baby, so I asked to move. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and turned the lights and power off while I was still in the room. When I went to sort out the room change, no one seemed to know what was going on, and I was told their room services desk is based in Melbourne. The second room wasn’t any better, stained carpet and a view of a car park. Overall, nowhere near worth what they’re charging. The whole experience was terrible, and the staff couldn’t have been less helpful or apologetic.

Booked room with a harbour view which was only barely visable. Charged surcharge on weekend plus $10 room delivery fee for in house room service! Didnt have our special request organised for arrival. Long drawn out check in!! Rooms are perfectly appointed, super comfortable which you would expect. Lux bathrooms can not be faulted.

I stayed during Australia Day weekend, paying $950 for a Deluxe King Room (one night). I tried to check in early, but no luck; they said they’d SMS once ready. So I killed time at Nobu Sydney for a late lunch. Then came the text… they addressed me as “Mr.” For a luxury hotel charging $950 a night, that’s a massive fail. Pronouns matter and yes, it got under my skin! The check-in itself was smooth and the staff friendly, but that message? Not it. LOL Now to the good stuff, the room was stunning! Spacious, clean, luxurious… but honestly gave off more business traveller than staycay escape. The view was okay, I could spot the Harbour Bridge and some empty land. Loved the spa bath, comfy bed, and overall cosy vibes. Service was solid. Would I stay again? Maybe if it’s half price You can definitely find nicer spots around Sydney for the same cost. Oh, and a hot tip: Bring your ID to the pool or you’ll be denied entry (yep, seriously). The Pool, let’s just say it felt more like the fish markets than a relaxing swim.

Went to Epicurean for dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday and opted for the buffet. The cold food selection was very good, with a great variety of seafood and sushi. However, the hot food could have been better in terms of quality and flavour. For the price you pay, you would expect a higher standard overall. Unfortunately, the service was also disappointing. The staff from reception to food and beverages seemed quite dismissive, and for an establishment of this level, the service could be far more attentive, welcoming, and professional.

My sister and I stayed at the Crown over the weekend and had the best time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing and the service was spot on. Everything felt easy, welcoming, and really well looked after. The room was beautiful and super comfortable, perfect for a weekend away. Our favourite part was definitely the breakfast buffet. Overall, a great experience and the perfect little getaway. We’ll be back for another weekend away soon.

Crown was highly recommend to me by multiple people who are members. The spoke highly of the crown and I have no idea why. Our experience was below average. Firstly, this was booked for me and my wife following our beautiful wedding. I wanted something nice, romantic and with a nice view. I called and emailed concierge months prior to my stay and explained that this was booked for post wedding and wanted something with a nice view. What I got was a view of a construction site. When I saw the view I felt like my request was not even considered or listened to. Not a great way to make someone’s stay feel special. The blinds in the room were opening on their own whenever they felt like opening. Very frustrating to have the blinds open in the morning when we’re trying to sleep in after such a big day/night. This happened so many times I lost count. We requested room service at 8pm when we headed to dinner. They said they can have that arranged but what we got was cleaners knocking on our door every 45min asking if they can clean the room! We wanted time to relax, shower and get ready but what we got was the feeling of being rushed! When they cleaned the room, they left the strawberries that we ate, and then they were mouldy the next morning. DISGUSTING! Surely if you see half eaten strawberries sitting there you know to clean it up. For the price we paid we expected a lot better. We have had better service and experiences in third world countries. What made things worse is we gave feedback and the response we have was “we will refund you the breakfast cost and escalate this matter to management” Not sure who thought refunding us for something we didn’t complain about was a good idea. And it has been 3 months with no response from management even after we followed up. Don’t stay here, over hyped and poorly managed!
